Can a foreigner buy a property in Zurich or Geneva?
No. Foreigners are not permitted to buy in Geneva or Zurich unless they are resident in Switzerland.
Foreigners are only permitted to buy a holiday home in the touristic areas of Switzerland, which includes most ski resorts.
