Can a foreigner buy a property in Switzerland in the name of a company?
No, a foreigner is not permitted to buy a residential property in Switzerland in the name of a foreign company, they must buy in their personal name.
There are exceptions:
It is permitted to buy certain properties in Andermatt in the name of a foreign company which have been specifically exempted from this rule.
It is also permitted to buy a property which is classed as a “hotel serviced apartment” in the name of a foreign controlled company.
Nordic in Saastal Village is an example of a remarkable hotel serviced apartment.
